Beretta 21a Serial Numbers Manufacture Dates

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Beretta 21A Bobcat is a semi-automatic pocket pistol designed by Beretta in Italy. Production began in late 1984, solely in the Beretta U.S.A. Facility in Accokeek, Maryland. It is a further development of the Beretta Model 20, whose production ended in 1985. The name was changed, however, to become first the Model 1926-1931, and later the Mode 1934. In any case these various model numbers can be found only in the Beretta catalogues. Ali the guns manufactured up to the mid-1930s are marked simply «BREV. The highest serial number noted is 622,297, found on a pistol marked as made in 1939. Following World War II, in 1946 or soon thereafter, some changes in the design of the Beretta pistols were made. I purchased my Beretta Mod. 92F when they became available to the public many years ago, just after the Military adoped the pistol. The serial number is DO1625Z and it has a steel frame and possibly stainless steel. It has Made in Italy on the right side and has Beretta USA on the left. It's new and not fired. Serial Number: Model: Product Description: Approximate Manufacture Date: Parts Listing: Owners Manual: Product Brochure or Literature: Choke System: NOT APPLICABLE Barrel: Call Beretta.

To find the year of proof of your Beretta Shotgun you'll need to find the Date Code. This will either be Roman Numerals for earlier guns or two letters for later guns. The position of this varies from gun to gun but is usually hidden from view without breaking the gun down.

Here seen at the rear of the barrels, underneath the chambers on an Over and Under…

The position varies a little more on the Semi-Autos but is usually somewhere towards the receiver end of the barrels again as seen on this AL391
